Sports Talk 980, a local Washington, D.C sports talk radio station will be running promotional spots touting the services and products of SportsOnCanvas.com. These spots will begin running the 3rd week in November and run through the end of the holiday season. Sports Talk 980 is a subsidiary of ESPN Radio. YIM ARRIVES…IN ATLANTA

Sports Artist John Yim arrived… in Atlanta (during All-Star Weekend) to present Hall of Famer Hank Aaron with two (2) original portraits which were requested and commissioned by Mr. Aaron. According to Mr. Aaron, one painting will be placed in the new Turner Field House in Atlanta. The other painting will be presented to Bud Selig's (Baseball Commissioner) daughter as a gift from Mr. Aaron.

Recently, Yim was commissioned by baseball great and Hall of Famer - Hank Aaron to paint two portraits of Mr Aaron. Mr. Aaron invited Yim and his agent to his home in Atlanta where the portraits were presented to Mr. Aaron and his wife, much to their delight and satisfaction. Yim's business agent, (SportsOnCanvas.com), is in discussions with Mr. Aaron and his business representatives regarding the creation of other original works and limited edition lithographs based on Mr. Aaron's historic baseball career.
 
THE ART OF BASKETBALL…and for Love of Children

The paintings of John Yim, a local Washington, DC sports artist, were featured at a reception June 22, to benefit for Love of Children, a 35 year old children's services agency. Washington Mystic's basketball star, Nikki McCray signed the "Leroy Nieman" like portraits painted by John Yim, which portrayed Ms McCray. Yim donated one painting of Nikki McCray which was auctioned for 2,000.00 and donated to For Love of Children and he provided a second painting to Ms. McCray as a gift to her for her support of For Love of Children.
